Social Activities Integration (SAI) reaches out with its services to Mumbai's red light area which is the biggest identify red light area in India, Covering 10 location in Mumbai they include Kamathipura, Foras road, Batatawala and Dudhwala chawl, Falkland road, Jamuna mansion, Pawwala street, Gaiwadi congress house (Kennedy bridge), Siwari slum and Worli. Street based Female Sex workers whose cursing sites are outside railway station, Beaches, lodges, and busy streets where there is easy availability of customers .SAI reaches cruising sites of Floating sex workers /Street based sex workers are CST, Churchgate, Mumbai central, Grant Road, Dadar , Matunga etc.. Other group who are at risk is Men who have sex with men(MSM) and Transgender(TG) SAI has began its work with this high risk group.

People living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) require a range of medical services including care, treatment and support depending on the progression and stage of the HIV infection.SAI has a DIC project that reaches out to poor people living with HIV/AIDS of all over Maharashtra.

Apart from this above highrisk group, there are expecting mothers who can transmit HIV to their children .Through the project named “Prevention of Parent to child transmission of HIV/AIDS” our field sites SAI reaches to expectant mothers of A, B, C and F ward of Mumbai. Our field team visits the area in identify expecting mothers from slum communities and getting them registered in Government Hospitals so that they can have monthly checkup and if a expecting female is found HIV positive she is provided special care and treatment. Our counselor from this project who is placed in Government hospitals explains about the precaution to be taken and even after delivery Mother and child is given extra care and treatment and especially Nevirapine drug. Counseling is given to the HIV positive mother on breast feeding.

Community Care Hospice (Centre) playing a critical role in providing treatment, care and support to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) in Thane district Under NACP-III this centre is attached to ART centres and ensure that PLHA are provided: (a) counselling for ARV drug adherence, nutrition and prevention (b) treatment of opportunistic infection (c) referral and outreach services for follow up and (d) social support services.

The mobile ICTC/STI clinic is providing ‘services-on-wheels’ to the High risk group which includes, Female sex workers, migrants, MSM,IDU ) in collaboration with other 15 NGOs working with High risk group population in Thane District.
